Try expanding paved are one all the way around. Sometimes the game is funny and will not occupy the exact dimensions.

it is possible that you have only discovered "elm" boughs instead of "fir" boughs. try picking a fir bough from a fir tree.

Do I need to say this a third time?

Out of curiosity tested, Yeomanry not required. Didn't check bough type though.

Pretty sure a cabin or log house is any type of bough. It's only spruce caps and fir beds that can only use a fir bough.

Sorry I couldn't suggest more. It was the only other thing I could think of and several updates were done in w5 or w6 with what needed Yeomanry. The wiki... it don't get updated all the time.
