How do I get H&H running.

check where your Java is installed (!not system32 !) - depending on OS Bit version it should be at
C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\

post the path please - info on OS and Bit version would help too ...

another suggestion would be deleting haven.jar in your Ender folder and run updater.jar again so that it gets fetched again (don't confuse haven.jar with haven-res.jar)

Java Location (from looking at the location in properties of java): C:\Windows\System32
OS - Windows 7
Bit Version -32 Bit

Java will not be in system 32. Some of the drivers/files will be, but the main executable that haven needs will be in program files.

make your run.bat this:

I made a mistake in the last one.

If you are using jre6 (check by looking in Program files (x86)\Java and see if there is folder jre6 or jre7) then update your java.

Right okay im sorry I didnt realize I was looking for the wrong file. I found jre7 here.

...and I got this, "the system cannot find the path specified"

The only way that your java will be in system 32 will be if you manually put it there while installing.
My system shows system 32

But this is the one you want.

If you can't find it from looking around in your program files, then do a search in C drive for 'javaw'

Ignore anything in C:\Windows
You want a location ending in jre7\bin

Write that location in place of the one in the run.bat, and don't forget the quotes

edit- if this doesn't work, do the same and try jre6

If you are running jre6 it may be time to update. Best practice is to update java for security and compatability.

Okay I found it, although I do have one in system 32 (not sure why - I dont mess around with files like this)

I also tried using both jre6 and jre7

The run.bat should be in the same folder as your haven.jar and all of the other client files right?

I'm not sure why you need the extra bits in the file..

try this. Right click haven.jar, open with. then find the javaw (enders uses javaw) in your jre7 bin folder and try to run it.

Just about the only thing it could be after elimination is exactly that. Try a different client. Or find a more updated jar.
