Still, what changed? I remember there used to be very good communities the last time I played. Now it seems like most are now dead.

I remember when I could travel and almost never see skeletons. Now I see them all over the place. Did a lot of people leave because of the curio system? The village I was with a few years ago left because of that.

Sure some people left HnH because of different LP system, lots left for different other reasons, some still play since early worlds and some come and go and come and go ... ;)

You see more skeletons because the map is significantly smaller than W3, and IMO, people are also more violent toward eachother.

And the vast majority of people love the curio system compared to the old one now that they have had time to warm up to it.
