Killing high level animals

I was able to make myself a bandage and I collected some leeches too so now I'm quite well again, we also lured the animals outside our base. Problem with the fence thing is that we have a quite big village, so it's not too easy to build a fence around the whole thing. My hunting is 12 now, but I will really need ages to get it to 30.
Edit: I'm at 15 now and I'm able to kill foxes with ~25 arrows, firing from a boat.
