I wouldn't recommend this at all because one; it's a waste of metal and two; the quality will be bad unless you have high quality metal, making the LP and study time very undesirable.

Stick to foragable curios with a high survival

For curios, find a swamp and forage Lady's Mantles and catch Dragonflies. Also don't underestimate Anthills as sources for quick low-weight curios as well. Basically until you have quality for the agricultural curios, foraged curios are still your best bet.
