I guess there are no bots that advanced to scout someone out (which only makes sense when reporting back anyways) - prolly you just happen to live in the path of a foraging bot.

So nothing to worry about aslong you don't hurt the bots circles ...

You could find a boar and pull it towards the bot letting the boar kill it for you. What are the botters going to do? Track the scent of the boar?

This so many times!! It's the best way to deal with bots, though to be honest, another one will just show back up, and enough deaths to animals close together is going to definitely bring someone investigating. Something could be said that the person might actually be doing something and watching the performance of the bot on the side or recording video. If you are seen dragging the boar into combat, then you might be searched for, otherwise it leaves you completely safe. (At this point, if the bot if functioning fine, I doubt anyone is going to be watching, as who checks in on something that works just fine?)

Doing things like fences brings someone to investigate right away. Maybe someone of an opposing faction would be willing to come and take care of the botter for giggles, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.

Mainly because you can, but also because that's what people get for botting. It's like when people leave crime scents; you do scummy stuff and leave yourself vulnerable, don't be surprised if you die (or your alt dies) for it.

If it's even a halfway decent bot it'll hearth the second that an animal is within a certain radius of it and reset its timers so that the maps will presumably despawn and the animal will disappear.

But seriously there is nothing meaningful that 207312 can do in this situation. Bots are cheap and easy to make and produce far more production and value than they will ever cost, even if you harass and attack bots constantly. The devs run into the same issue. Valuable development time can be spent on removing bots one by one or the game can just be made better so that bots are less viable in the future. There just aren't enough resources available to any of us to handle something automated manually.

Just learn how to make bots, and then make a bot for stopping bots. Then once you get the system down pat, you can just automate the removal of the automation!
