Make a new character, head north to get to Brodgar crossroads, travel to Novigrad. That spawn point is closed due to deforestation, so please take a long walk from there before you start cutting down trees.

It should also be mentioned that the cardinal directions are decided by your minimap, not the actual game screen. What's "east" on the game screen is really north-east.

I'll try to give more precise directions:



From the Ring of Brodgar head a few steps west to the road and then north through the city of Brodgar, until you reach the totem.
From there head east through an open gate, where you should reach a road split in two with a tree in the middle. Before you reach the road you should see mixed farm fields directly north and south.
But you should follow the road further north until you can't anymore and then east. When you see market stands on the way, you are still on the right track.
Head east and then just follow the biggest road north and east. After a while the road should only head east. Follow that road until you see trees.

There should be some two villages along the way, first to the south, then to the north.

If you would like me to come out and meet you and then lead you out of the labyrinth of urban development hell, send me a pm so we can set up a time and I can come to exactly where you are. I can also bring food if your character needs rations.

Yes, it is impossibly frustrating at the moment. The game is in alpha and dealing with the devastation at the character starting point is still something that we are trying to work out a good solution for.

Thankyou so much for the map, i did try and follow similair instructions from another thread but i think i headed too far east initially and not enough north. With the map though im feeling pretty confident about escaping now, thanks again :D

Thankyou for the kind offer but i'm now feeling pretty confident about escaping with the use of the map in above post :D
