Yes, most likely. Disregarding all aspects of consistent mathematics, the most obvious practical setback is the following;

Tradition 5: LA -67*
Barbarian Clothing (EQ, Suite): LA -15
Hat of Jorb (EQ, artifact): LA -10
Beer ("Edible"): LA -5
Barbarian 5: LA -20

100 - 67 - 15 - 10 - 5 - 20 = -17%

Result: Doing things makes you loose LP.
