1: I thought you said you respawned a new guy in a Fir Forest, surrounded by Pines, The bed works fine for me. Not that you need the ability to Fast Travel anywhere, you most likely be to far from the RoB (Center of the world) to reach if. You need a good amount of AGI to lower the cost of traveling. Using a bed to log off will cause the TW to go down, it will take forever to decrease to 0 but its not like you need it yet...

2: Wheat is found on Grasslands, its a Light Green colour on the map, its hard to find but if you do make sure you take enough but leave some as a curtsy or something. ATM I am going around my area and Screencapping crops and other things to make a small guide for newbs...

3: It can be impossible to find out where you are because last that I checked there are another 4 layers to the original 9 that is present on the Maplib site, the only possible way of know where abouts you could be is to find someone that can party you and have them stand at RoB for a simple bearing. Seeing as the RoB is the center of the world. Finding someone on the other hand....

How about if I create a character and send him down the cellar hatch so he can get to RoB. I also publish his hearth secret here so anyone who wants can kin with him, and once kinned party with him.... and we can get our bearings that way. Anyone game to try that?

Okay, I have a new character whose name is Yggdrasil. His hearth secret is "Location". And he is going to be at Brodgar.

Anyone spawning out in the far reaches of the unknown world can enter his hearth secret to kin him and then use the arrow as a direction finder.

Okay, only a single question this time. Thanks for all your help, you've all been great.

1. I've found a wild patch of growing plants, and yet i can't harvest any of it. I have the Farmer skill, I've tried digging, but I cant even get a menu to pop up. Do I need a scythe to harvest them?

You should just need to Rclick on them, then select "harvest".
I thought only the farming skill was needed, but I could be wrong.

Is it possible that these wild plants cant be farmed, because they are currently growing to maturity? They had stems and leaves and such, but I couldn't right click on them. Though my character did have both hands full, but that's never been a problem before. Some sort of glitch?

I found these in a Fir wood, growing in a group. I really don't understand why my character couldn't pick them, just like I don't understand how ants can pose a serious threat to newbies.

EDIT: Maybe I need to grind to farmer level 10 before I can take them down. OH SNAP

Maybe it was hops? I think for hops you need the beermaking skill, but I don't know if I'm correct there.

Or those were grapes, for which you need the winemaking skill.
