I've got a friend who can't play either because of terminal individual lag. He has logged on three or four times to try to join me. Sometimes it works for a few minutes but usually it goes into lag almost instantly. This is when I am having no problem with it. We assumed his lap top has an archaic graphics card and that was the reason.

OP here, friend just got online, game runs smooth now. Great Danke to a guy who advised drivers and close the thread. Also, glad to amuse someone, lol.

Lol, It was referring to Asmodeus.. He has been posting in EVERY thread about the lag that he has no lag. That's what amused me ;)
Good to hear that the driver update fixed your friends problem!
