Ah, axes are averaged down.. That explains that I did not see any effect of survival skill, since it is higher than (stone+branch)/2

For that saw formula, I don't understand it. I can't fill in my q19 branch, q128 bone and q60 survival skill there to get the q84 saw I got in that formula.
(19+128)/19 + 128 = 135.7
(135.7+60)/2 = 97, rounded down. Not 84.

I'm sure I misunderstand it.
Do X and Y not represent the quality of the items, but seperate multipliers? If so, what are the numbers for X and Y?

No, indeed.
There are 2 ways to get stone above q10

Either digging it up on mountain tiles, or getting them from smelters. Ore that doesnt turn into bars turns into high Q stones.

they are separate multipliers, or weights.
(X*19 + Y*128)/ (X+Y)

i used x and y because i wasn't sure of the exact values offhand, but it looks like X=1 and Y=5 so (19 + 5*128)/6 = 109.8333... averaged down to your 60 survival would output a 84.91666... , rounded down = q84
