You can dry WWWs on drying racks (the thing where you dry hides), but it's much slower.

try to pick www from another terrain.

i've got carrot, tea, hops, flax, hemp, grape.

Just to clear this up again in this thread as well, cause newbies might get confused. WWW spawning is NOT dependant on terrain. It is completely random, but there tend to be the same kinds of seeds in the same spots. So you could for example find wheat seeds anywhere in the world, but once you found some it is very likely that there are other wheat seeds nearby. Plus there has been a bug with www before so that we all basically got hemp, grapes and tea, this is fixed now and you can gather all kinds of seeds.

Bonsoy wrote:UMM! So there are no random spawned crops? How are you supposed to get plant fibres if there aren't any crops to pick? Or can you use other string types eg: spindly taproot? Don't you need plant fibres to make a herbalist table to get plantable www?

Well that is part of the frustration, it takes a super long time to dry them on racks. With no fibre = no table. Needless to say waiting a day and half (real time) to get a bunch of hop and tea sucked azzzz, especially from 9 seeds from various terrains and locations. Burmingham says above that seed type is not dependant on terriain, instead www-type is location bound (sorta). We'll see when my next batch dries as I've just spent 5 hours gathering 5 more seeds from a huge wide area and from 3 types of terrain far from where I gathered the previous 9.

No need to confirm it, loftar already stated that what I said is true. You might have the off chance to wind up with other types of seeds, but in general seeds gathered in the same area will be of the same kind.

Thanks! Now I understand, I mistook Jorb saying "Drying takes 2 ingame days in a drying frame, and eight ingame hours on a Herbalist's Table.", to mean you had to perform both tasks to make the www plantable.

Woot! 2 WWWs and 2 clovers until the game predictably crashed.
