This. Is capping any progress since what is so basic. I've even made a map with cartography while looking for www far from my place. Still no wheat. It's like there is only 1-minimap-size-zone with wheat WWW per grid.

I didn't get one from the nemerous WWWs i dried. I had to trade for one with a neighbor village.

I've gotten 2 wheat seeds from about 25 www's. So it's just luck and the fact they are rare.

I got a wheat seed from a weed found in the grasslands. People were saying the area effects it so try gathering them there?

This can't be true, my drying rack was full of WWW last night, this morning I ended up with carrot, poppy, grape and flax in the same frame.

Like everybody's said, the seed you get from the weed is dependent on the location you gather it from, you're not putting your chances at risk by grouping a potential wheat WWW with other random types.

that actually sounds pretty appropriate since there are, what, 10 crops?

It doesn't, actually. I think it's safe to guess that he gathered all his seeds in a wheat area, so there should be more of them than 1 in 12.5 (god knows how much hemp you find when you gather in a hemp place).

I don't think the distribution is completely random. Rather, there is a certain continuum (ie if an area has 40% probability of hemp those next to it will have hemp probability 30%-50%). I base this on my observations, which are of course quie subjective so there's a good chance I'm just flat out wrong.

Any idea how far you have to go before you're no longer considered to be in the same area for the purpose of seeds?
