Haha, I've played 3-4 days and travelled by boat extensively and have found no one alive. Even found what appears to be the ruins of Xanadu. Still no people. Its slowly becoming like a survival horror game. "Fallout 4: land of trees".

And when it comes to neighboors it just depends i lived in one place for a couple of days and saw no one. Moved down river a ways and saw someone taht day and became fast friends with the guy

I was alone in the beginning as well. Nowadays my little strip of grassland becomes very crowded indeed, plus I seem to have settled down in the path between two cities (one of which I haven't even found yet).

So if you want to find some people in this game, settle down somewhere other people might find desirable as well. If you just stake your claim in the middle of the forest, you will quite likely never encounter another player.

i found it and lots of stuff outside the walls was red and looked like it might break down. Couldn't see anyone that was sleeping in any of the outside places and no one moving around. Did a forum search and couldn't find anything relevant (but I suck at searching, can't really use that feature). So I said what appeared to be ruins. Guess I am wrong, now If I wasn't an hour or more away I would try and find my way back.
