I don't see why dodging should be used solely in unarmed combat, but parrying would indeed be more than welcome.

Well that's not what i meant. I meant that you're not unarmed while using an axe. So you should not need to get twice the lp you need to be strong enough. Mind you that i did consider raising unarmed, but i am glad i didn't do it. Not everyone can kill bears for 7000lp.

not true.. we tested it out.. while i can dodge 95% of the time against a melee skill of 90 or so... with even advantage.. but once the advantage shifts there way [using that evil self-mutulation skill +sidestep] they can hit me fine.
Btw: to clarify.. i kill lvl4-5 bears with my bare hands [no running around or hiding or anything.. straight on] But i can't take on lvl 7 bears yet.

While that is true, what about you hitting the other person? Can you kill him before he kills you?
Plus, if you'd use an axe yourself and use dodge you'd win for sure.

Psh.. axes are for big manly men. Me? not so much.
I can hit 'people' really often.. like... near-all the time. Atleast.. all the people i've ever hit, i seem to hit a incredibly often amount.
If theres a person who is harder to hit then a bear.... maybe a melee skill of say... 90+ and using the shield skill... with a shield.. then maybe i'll miss them some? I don't know how much though... never tried.

eh... still hard to hit people with shields and like 90 melee. Shields are overpowered :p
