Okay, so, how about if we don't have a village claim up yet?
We are forced to use the gates as it is.

While there are two of us capable of defending, we can't be on round the clock.
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.

You have the gatekeeper stay inside. When needed, they will go near the gate. Friendlies who wish to leave line up. The gatekeeper jogs to the gate, and then to the side. Friendlies jog out. The gatekeeper jogs to the gate, locks it back up, and then goes back inside.

For villages that do not have 1 than ONE P Claim... Meaning 1 P claim over entire village...
This may be a little to much to do but I thought this may be useful have a dedicated time once a week for all of your members to be on. So the one with a claim can remove everyone and then have them leave a Scent that last a week...Collect scents so at least if one takes off with the villages pearls or something like that or kills someone withen the village then runs off..ect...... You can then at least then attempt to retaliate.... I will not be doing this but maybe for some of yall Security fanatics maybe you can work this in somewhere... I dont know how well then would since I did just think about it... I would like comments Pros or Cons...

since you asked for comments, this is a terrible idea. i for one would refuse to be part of any village that required this sort of thing.

if you feel this is a necessary step, either the village needs better security design, or you need better villagers who can be trusted.

To everyone complaining about players starting to be able to get through brick walls...build another layer. And another, and another, and so on and so forth.Train marksmen so that they can pick them off while they're trying to get in.That's pretty much the only way to square off against the inevitable delusions of omnipotence that trigger when stats are uncapped and reach the three digits and beyond...

"Dang, are your wagons that slow?"

If I wanted to get a load of bull from you I'd have brought my cows for you to impregnate!

This is more for players that know each other directly (IRL) and you can trust everyone with full rights, not for a proper village where players will want their own claims for safety reasons. I thought it was kind of obvious as how secure can you be when everyone has to have full rights to a claim in order to do anything?

You can use your hearth fire as a gate. It only allows the owner of the hearth fire to pass over it.
