i give up, have no idea what causes this. Ore smelter 54q, charcoal 41, all iron must be somewhere like 45-47 but its more frequently 25q. I will go and kill myself now. Bi-bi cruel world and suck my cock!

Could be the state of repair on your smelter? I experienced a similar problem when my smelter wasn't in prime condition.
If rules were meant to be broken we would have called them ribs instead.
