Bronze is about as good as steel for some items.

unless you are seriously powered up, i suggest you get the hell away from that mine.

copper is useless with out tin. think you can make spectacles and a chest. thats about it.

you should know by now that there are those whose ideal of "trading" is killing everyone on sight and "finding" an abandoned mine.

You can also make frying pan, keyring, key, cauldron, candelabrum, drinking horn, metal mug, soft metal cutlery, sauciere and metal plate. You'll need to get anvil and hammer for some of those, though, which will require buying 3 tin bars.

Copper's still plenty good as a metal. It won't make you everything, of course, but has the potential to. Tin is not hard to find a trade partner for, as they need your copper as much as you need their tin. They actually need more of your copper than you need of their tin. It can make chests, which are nice to have and metal cauldrons, which are just convenient.

I understand it's not iron, but unless you have iron or access to large volumes of it through trade, having copper is better than having nothing.

well, since your questioning indicated, that you are not too informed about mines and their absolute and relative worth, i think he just wanted to help you with some information. but since you seems to be a know-it -all, i won´t give you the hint, that pissing off advanced players is not too smart a move.
