Quality most certainly matters for cauldrons, it's a major factor in the quality of the final product.

Quality matters some for merchant robes too. While the inventory space benefit is q independent, they give a bonus to charisma and intelligence too, that comes in handy with the change to village authority, and the new symbel.

Water in cauldrons, not cauldrons themselves. Cauldron made out of 40q bars filled with 10q water counts as 10q cauldron.

And yes, my bad, forgot about charisma and intelligence from robes.

Oh? I used really junky I believe Q5-Q10 leftover stuff from very beginning of World 3 on a beehive a little while back and farmed a lot. I got Q60 honey. I don't really see how Q seems to play a part(however that could also be that a lot of the stuff i'm noticing seems to have a 'glitch" factor to it.). In fact, it seems more dependent on how much and what you farm around the beehive then the Q of the beehive itself.

Lets put it this way: Materials are supposed to matter, but there seems to be a bug with honey. Has been reported several times.
For me it was quite the opposite. I had crappy beehives with crappy honey till a few weeks back, although all my crops were between q150-200 back then. I upgraded my hives and jumped from q15 to q60 honey. Now the last couple of days the few crappy hives I still have left start to produce better honey too. All in all very weird...

Then explain how I'm cooking q19 boiled mussels in my cauldron using q10 mussels and q10 water.

no, the quality of the cauldron definitely matters. so does the quality of the water. not sure if fuel quality matters but i think it does.

unraveling silkworm cocoons is one of the few exceptions where it is not effected by any of that. for food though, all that is important.

From my experience fuel q does not matter and water quality only matters for a few things. I don't think it matters for rennet or RoBs for example. For most of the new recipes like pepper drupes or spring stew it does.

well i haven't done extensive testing, but it's easy enough to do some experiments and find out what matters.

Water matters for tea and rennet from the tests I made.
