Trade for wrought and steel, build a brick wall. That is it.

Read Avu's thread about how to defend your village.

and how should he gain all the learningpoints needed for the fithigskills?! ever though about that?!
he will only become 1/3 of the learningpoints, and is only able to change one attittude-point all 3(!!!!) days
thats bullshit!

and by the way: use your brain (and maybe the wiki) before you write!
even with full tradition, you will lose 25% of your learningpoints

Eh. I was told it was 100% and never really looked into it. Even if it's just 75% that's still not too shabby. It might be slower, yes. Buuut. As mentioned, it's like character security. On my lone Alt characters I generally have mostly tradition just so I basically don't have to remake my char from scratch if some macro guy or etc. comes by just to kill my alt for the "lolz". I mean. If you can't defend yourself properly it's really the best route to go until at which point you can.

Only one point in three days? I'm pretty sure it's dependent on how much you play in-game.

He could also as mentioned above trade for supplies to make brick walls around his base for proper protection. Especially with the recent updates.

I am not so sure about that. With full change, you retain 25% of what you got with 300% learning speed, so for every 100 base LP you retain 75

With full tradition you retain 75% of what you got with 33% learning speed, so for every 100 base LP you retain only 25. Not to mention the gimp it puts on your character's learning speed, nine times slower learning.

In my opinion tradition is only worth it if you have a hugely developed character that you don't want to train any longer but are afraid to lose.

i suppose it depends how much you play. I personally feel that any ultra new characters should always start out going towards full change at the VERY beginning(when if you die it won't matter much.) but once you get to a reasonable stat build you bring it slowly back to full tradition. I suppose the real debate here is at what point would you define your character as "hugely developed" as well as what I mentioned earlier where it depends really how much you play... and i suppose when you play. You could also I suppose throw in the variable depending on where you're located. I guess the biggest variable here though is if you got's a few guys around you sporting 'pimpin gear that're generally on at the same time you are you could probably stay full change for likkee. a loonng time.

The optimal state is to be always full change unless you plan on getting yourself killed. Without full change there is just not enough lp to keep your skills up to the developement of your ressources and you will lose way to much through it. Especially with palisades now being nearly unbreakable as well there is just no discussion even for newbs in highly populated areas (there even wasn't before, but I can see how one could think tradition was a viable way to play). This said it becomes clear that the change/tradition slider is somewhat unbalanced even though they tried to fix that with the whole ancestral worship thing.

Having spoken with the people of Ravenholm, it's not them as they are pretty content to be safe and not poke at people considered they had been raided twice now, one by the tricities raiders and the other by Joe Blade.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

ok im from "a ravenholm" but i also know that there are at least three ravenholms in game and none of are guys are even capable of killing anyone at least not to my knowledge and were a small town so i don't think it was us as to if were the ones near you idk i seen a lot of people near by so if it was one of them i have no clue
My friends are those who stand beside me, My enemies are those who stand against me, Those in between are innocent
I swear to protect my friends and the innocent from my enemies
So my question is Who Are You?

i think best is to pm the creator of that post and ask im for help

edit: ravenholm has had a tyrant chieftain. probably that was your murderer. as they seem to be friedly communists now, you may as well just walk over to the village and try to talk to someone there via area-chat

We are RavenGRAD! NOT RavenHOLM, dammit! Learn to read, sonny.
