Caves, are there yet?

Ok thanks but are there yet mines in game? We need iron and steel to continue the game. We didn't find mines with prospecting.

//FACEPALM// NO they didn't put mines in or the need for metals but put in recipes and abilities to use those things... DID you even think about that one???

If you can't find mines, then they are taken already, YOU Will need to do a LOT of traveling to find one, be prepared to PACK UP and MOVE to the mine if you ever do find one. Some have spent ages looking for one, Go to the end of the world maps (FAR FAR FAR edge) and start there. They are new Supergrids and you MIGHT Find Mines...

Not really, no one really wants to let their village location be know, nor does anyone take the time to actually make maps these days unless its important to them/their village and that would be personal too...

The Best bet is to choose a direction, then head in that direction till you hit the Wall. Set up a Base camp around there. Prospect the Few Regions there. Then abandon and head in one of the closer corner parts of the Maps, repeat rinse and wash with a lot of bleach. Don't forget to prospect on the way there, stopping at nearly every cave you see and prospect them, checking large areas and stopping on Mountains too. You might find one some where. Who knows. But know only that unless the God of Luck is on your side then it will take up a lot of your time. Don't drag the whole Village around with you of course...
