Timber houses hadn't been implemented yet when that page was written, something kralmir would have knows if he wasn't such a noob.

Saying "the wiki is correct" is moronic. The wiki is full of incorrect information and holes, as kralmir pointed out. But it's because of people like him who simply can't be bothered to contribute.

So, if you're unsure about something on the wiki, ask. Then if you actually receive any helpful replies, consider repaying the kindness by correcting the wiki pages for future players. :)

Don't bitch about the wiki's incorrect information, just take the 20 seconds' time and fix it yourself. Bitching about it makes you look like a lazy asshole. If it weren't for people that invested HOURS of time into creating the wiki (far more than the seconds of time required for a simple yet obviously significant edit), you wouldn't even HAVE the wealth of information that is the wiki.

Fix shit yourself, point it out (without being an asshole about it), or shut up. :3

indeed, id have fixed it myself once i learned about the wrong info but the way ninju responded made me prefer the option of telling him to go fuck himself, want someone to blame for false info? blame him. and people expect me to do it, fuck that, the only thing i am expected to do is not rewrite the wiki to claims giant space bunnies made the world and everything in it ..... just because i am a experienced player doesn't mean i owe the new people information, its good if i do, but I'm not at fault if i dont.

and spectracle you're a troll.

Just because he's a troll doesn't mean he's not right. I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with being a prick but being a prick and a noob won't get you very far in this game.

Especially in a thread in which you ask for help.

mate read the posts before.

i know the timber house works but do you scan the wiki completely for mistakes on a regular basis? i dont. now he sees ninju being a dick and me responding to it and wants to fuel it to make it worse.

and it worked, yep, not a fucking troll at all.

Here's the idea when it comes to the wiki. It contains information. Ideally, it would be entirely correct, contain anything anybody wanted to know, and the "How do I?" section might be entirely unnecessary. Sure, there are people like Darkren who spend a ton of time on it, scanning as you say, to try to make it better, but most people aren't like that. The thing is that if you would just make small edits when you do notice something is wrong (like when somebody mentions it's wrong in the thread) then in the end you might actually put out less effort by fixing it than by repeatedly answering questions.

Think of the wiki as a proactive version of this forum section. It also makes it easier on the new players who no longer need to wait for a reply, and can instead just "look it up". This means more of them will have a better time early on and might stay. The wiki's a good resource for the game in general, and you don't have to help with it if you don't want to, but if you don't, then it's kind of silly to bitch about it being incorrect, or expect other people to fix it when you won't.

I'm too lazy to even log in to my wiki account half the time, but even then, I try to fix misinformation where I find it. I use the wiki constantly while I play, so it only makes sense that I should apply what I learn as I go. Wikis are community efforts, after all.

This area is an essential tool in helping to figuring out wiki errors and getting them corrected. The only way to know, is to ask. :)

So I was looking at the wiki, reading up on the infinite glory of cheese.
And I got to wonderin' about that mine vs cave thing, and that cabin vs house thing.

So I thinks to myself: "Self, you might best be looking at the forums for answers."
So I did.

And then there's this thread.
Well, now. We have had a merry little bitch fest, haven't we.
And still the wiki goes un-updated.

So I'll do it.
But I want to make sure I've got the right info before updating it.

Please let me know if the following statements are true or false:
1. Any cheese that requires a mine can also be made in a cave.
2. Any cheese that requires a stone mansion or a log cabin can also be made in a timber house.
