Still...Gauze is not an early game stuff.

At current state...If you haven't earned too much LPs, a better idea might be learning swimming and jump into the nearest river/lake, and start over with 25% LP refund(If you're at full change), and a full HP bar. But there's nothing stopping you trying to heal besides the occasional boars and bears:P

You can spawn nearby your friends if you have their hearth secret, or where your own hearth fire from previous character was.

What week is reccomended to be able to make Gauze?

A new player too..But have gathered some informations.

The wiki states that you need at least 18 Exploration points with starting perception attribute(18*10=180) to spot four-leaf clovers, which can be picked up to feed mouflons(Untamed sheep), each four-leaf clover allows you to shear it for once and get wool. Then you need a loom, the materials for it can be easily found with beginner skill. You will use the loom to process wool into gauze.

5 HP? Yikes, mine have never even been that low, even after that boar hilariously knocked me out in the swamp while covered in leeches~

If you've got lots of food and patience and are too stubborn to kill yourself off, try building a little fenced-off area near the swamp to ward off the wildlife, then wade out and pick up a leech at a time. Maybe your friends could find a nearby village to trade with for gauze?
