Armor is not something that lets you tame animals. It's only something that will save you in case things go wrong.
To tame animal you need to gain combat advantage. And since you lose advantage when you are hit and have no defense left, you have to stop animal from breaking your defense. Armor does not help with that, only combat skills.

No. Just pen them with construction signs like everyone else.

You'll run into complications you're not prepared to deal with if you attempt to do this. For one thing, mouflon and auroch are pack animals and the pack will rip you to shreds. Two, those stats are not enough to go toe to toe with even a single auroch, mouflon, or boar. Third, every two non-attack actions in combat raise combat intensity by 1 point and you need combat intensity to be 0 to Quell The Beast. Moves that reduce combat intensity tend to have long cooldowns and combat meditation gives your opponent combat advantage so you'll need to spend time and energy getting more advantage than you would normally need to compensate.

For an experienced combatant, ~80 UA will be fine to tame the boar, ~110 for the Mouflon, and ~110 for the Auroch. Or you can have 1 UA and tame them the smart, safe way by trapping them. A novice combatant will literally be incapable of taming the animals when pressed into melee combat with them.

what softcaps tobacco? wiki says sqrt(farming*perception) which would make mine capped at 13(rounds down right?), but I'm able to get it at 28 from a quality 43 cured leaf

Softcap =/= Hardcap

A softcap is when the quality output would be higher than the softcap value (43 is higher than 13). If it's the case, it will add the quality and the softcap and divide it in 2.
A hardcap (what you thought a softcap was) will stop the quality from going higher at all.

(Quality + Softcap)/2 = Softcapped Quality
(43+13)/2 = 28

lol I feel silly now...

but I have found a mistake in the wiki(I can't edit or I'd fix it) on treeplanter's pots it says a little over 1.5 hours for a tree to sprout, on herbalist table it says it takes 2.5 hours...I've been waiting 2 hours for mine and they're just over 60% so I'm pretty sure its wrong on the pot page

edit: the table/chart on the herbalist table page says 1.5 also

Or you can have 1 UA and tame them the smart, safe way by trapping them.
Does that means, if I will use the fencing trick, I can tame any creature without taking a single hit?
So imagine, i fenced an auroch.
Interested in making the combat advantage. I can get the initiative points with Call the Thunder from leadership at distance. But while i will perform Seize the Day or (more likely) Sidestep and Consume Fire and Ice, the animal will damage me, wright? How many hits it can do to me? 50 agility
Then i ll use quell the beast for first +20% tameness, and the animal will stop attacking me.
After roughly 10 minutes the animal will begin to attack me again. Will i have to make the combat advantage again, like i didnt use quell the beast first time?
Only thing, that break tameness is attack moves? So i can do every move/special move, only not to punch/chop/break its teeth?
Have 105 UA, 900 armor class, 230 hp. Still afraid to tame. Will that be enough, to tame an auroch using that trapping trick?

The sprouting time of a tree is relevant to your nature/ind slider. At full Nature (suggested, even make an alt for it if you need to since it gives 100% sprouting chance), it takes 1 hour 40 minutes (5 ingame hours) to sprout. Sorry, I thought I updated the pages, guess I didn't do all of them :|

Walk up to it after it twitches, use your move, then walk away before the AI can repath to you. As long as you act immediately after it twitches you're safe. So get your IP with Call down the thunder, then Sidestep of Invocation of Skuld, then Consume the Flame or Sting like a bee, finally quell the beast. Repeat until 100 Tame and a pink mist appear. Ideally you'll never be hit by the animals.
