How Do you Plant Trees I got the planter all ready how do I put it in the ground?

You have to put the pot on a herbalist's table for some time, after that's done you just select the pot and right click where you want to plant.

once you've gotten it to sprout(herb table) just use it like filling a bucket, left click then right click the place you want to plant it...been ages since I've planted but I believe you get a 'plant seedling' box when you do if so click that(if not it'll just plant, I really can't remember)

First I know cave in's can destroy things but can cave in's destroy houses?

Second when prospecting underground will it show metal in the walls or will it only show metal below?

Third if I use a village idol to remove someones claim will they get the LP from their claim back?

Another question, how the heck do I make Bone glue it won't work with my Cauldron

Fill cauldron with water, add fuel,light, have 10 bones in inventory, start recipe. Wait for it to finish.

I was thinking recently, ( im a hermit btw) that hermits (from what ive seen) build small houses with a little fence and that is their claim and then you walk around your area and see loads of them deserted (possibly from raids)
Is it possible to just simply build a cave, and place all items that you would place in a house into the cave?
Basically live in a cave rather than a shiny big house thats screaming to be raided.

(I have an idea about the cave walls have to be walled and the trouble with trolls while caving, the expense etc)

You can't build caves, only mine holes. Most empty hermitages are either because the player is offline or quit -- both happen far more frequently than raids. Yes, you can build a house in a cave and put all of your items in there.

Ah forgive my ignorance, so i have to find a hollow in the ground and mine a hole into the hollow?
So i need to prospect the area?No i dont, but how do i find a mine/hollow in the ground to start with ?
Or are all caves and caves entrances random and already exist ?

Caves spawn with the world and all caves that will ever exist already exist. You can build a minehole where ever you'd like once you have the materials and skills to do so.
