What are the the short-keys to logout of ender ?

You can:

Ctrl + O and log out from the Options window

or

:lo

These work with all clients.

That I'm aware of, there is no short-cut logout in Enders other than these two generic methods.

I read that tea increases your learning ability, if i drank tea then placed curios in my inventory to study would it increase the amount of LP i get?
Or do i have to time it perfectly for when the curios finish?

For when they finish. Unlike other buffs, the tea buff carries over when you log out, so the usual solution is to get the tea buff up to max, log out and wait until the curios are done (sleep or go to work or something heretical like that), then when you log back in you will get all the bonus.

I want to build a brickwall but what do i need to discover first ?
Ive made bricks in the kiln, for the metal do i simply need to mine iron and im away or do i need to make it into wrought iron to discover brickwall?

Im asking because a friend is allowing me to discover/mine iron in his mine (nice of him ^^), but im concerned if i need to smelt etc the iron to get wrought iron before discovering the brickwall.

Yeah, you need to discover wrought iron to be able to place the initial BW cornerpost. (I think I could extend a wall without, but I'm not sure I remember correctly)
