No, I mean entering houses and scavenging stuff.
I say scavenging because those villages seem abandoned from a long time.

Also, why can I interact with objects in some villages? Is it because the villages points are below 50k?

Are you a member of the village? If so, it won't really matter what the authority is at. The 50k mark is mostly for A) determining the effectiveness of the claim (do outsiders leave scents or not), B) disbanding said village claim by destroying the claim totem, or C)stealing lawspeaker from inactive players.

If you client doesn't recenter on you, you may be able to force the window to move by hitting the "Home" key.

It does not guarantee safe mining but it substantially reduces the likelihood of cave-ins. There is no 100% guaranteed safe method besides using supports.
Be sure to clear out cave-in boulders and to watch what angle you mine at as these can increase the odds of future cave-ins.

Zig zag mining is excellent for exploratory mining though~

click on leaves from inventory to pick them up, then right click them on the coop.

edit: you can shift right click to pick up next leaf and save a few clicks.
