Sure about this one? I just haven't put enough time in this world, but foraging, so far that I've found, only hardcaps things it had an effect on previously, and ore wasn't one of those.

all resources "from the wild" are hardcapped by survival according to jorb, resources that arent hardcapped are player made resources such as farmed products from my experience. ore is a type of resource that get capped as stones, as you get the same q stones as ores by mining at the same layer. i could be wrong though.

Mining/smithing alt = all skills associated with mining such as steelmaking, and level smithing, strength and (i think, for some things) psyche.
It's good to have constitution to around 150 on those, so they don't die.

just think, you are mining with your main. and puff a troll just spawned from the tile you cleared.

if your not someone who can handle killing a troll on your own you is gonna have a bad day. maybe a good day too troll stuff can get you a lot of food to feed your new miner :3

Its not best information. Your miner needs con. As much con as possible or better, to reach 400+ hhp when being full barb is the way to go. That way you wont die 1. from cavein if you do mistake(s), 2. from first troll hit. So go with con together with strenght if you have such option and food. Additional (optional) is to also get some agility, sinece finding nodes sometimes takes time and long tunnelings, so nodes can be far away and it is easiest to dig if you only need 10% travel weariness to reach them.

I recently tried to do some mining, but it said that it was a little too hard for me to mine, I was wondering how high my strength should be before I can properly mine.

i would say to start mining in lev 1 about 40 STR. If you don't find very hard rock to mine. To properly mine level 1 around 80 would be probably enough.

You could always put on a Bear Cape, and a Bear Tooth Talisman, which will help bump your STR a bit.

And, if you can get one, a higher quality stone axe will help.
