you can dig it all out and stop getting clay but it will keep regenerating so youll be able to get more later.

There is no "sodom" this world that's the same as the one people talk about, so no, it's someone else. As to dangerous? They live in a place named after a city God smote from the Earth for buttfucking. Probably not the friendly sorts.

Hi

I have been invited to a village and I am to pick a house from the ones they have prepared for newcomers until I build my own.
I was wondering around this houses and never saw before a stone mansion, nor a cellar, so I entered. I have not claimed any. They are nice! lots of space.
How do I get out from the cellar that has a little trap door on the floor. It seems like my head bumps on this trap door when I try to climb the stone stairs.
I dont know either how to go down stairs from 1st floor. I clicked every possible place in between the wooden railings standing directly in front of the stair case, using the grid.
I use the travel to village idol so Im not stuck, but I would like to know what is I do wrong.
All I was able to find are threads about getting caught by bodies, or "hearth vaults". What is a "hearth vault"?.

So thanks very much to whom ever can point out what i need to learn.
