If you have a friendly basher have him bash the strongboxes and you're safe (it's a lot beyond palibashing thou, 1369 str minimum). Otherwise i'd sugest you pack up all your valuables and move them away before ram dries. If you have doubts about your settlment/allies fighting power move everything/everyone out.

Working as intended.

No, not really. They were never intended for this level of dickishness.

Hi, I passed a village today with several crossroads in a line, looking like what formed a wall... Is there a reason for this? Aren't crossroads easily destroyable by hand? Or I guess my question is what's there soak value or hit points.

Only a lawspeaker or chieftain can destroy them by hand. Anyone else must use a ram. Yeah, the point is to make a wall where one normally can't be built.

I've got a couple questions.

How can I fill my tanning tubs quickly? is the only way to fill a barrel by using a bucket on a well, then on the barrel? I can't somehow instantly fill my tub/barrel from the well?

Does that leave the only good way to put my tubs near my well and fill them with a bucket?

Wood.

Is there any way to quickly and effectively gather it? the way I've been doing it is taking a cart, chopping down enough trees for 5 logs. Put 4 into the cart. Pull the cart, then pickup the 5th log and walk back to where I need to be.

Cheers.

I would put your tubs near your well if you want speed. Otherwise fill up some barrels and cart them to where you want o tan.

I dont know if you have access to large hests yet but if so fill them with blocks or boards and then cart them back its much easier. If you dont have access to those yes 5 logs at a time with a cart is the normal way. If you have lots of wine you could simply fill a boat and travel to your hearth fire repeatedly.

Sorry some things just take time.

You'd need wine only to travel between hf you put at logging spot and your village idol. If you tele only one way and walk the other you don't need wine.

It's such a shame barrels don't have taps on them like they do in reality, would make life so much easier. Or even be able to tip them over, emptying one recently with a bucket was ridiculously tedious.

Provided you had a spare base Q log you could've just build a new barrel of irrelevant Q, use one on the other and then simply destroy that new barrel.
