How long does it take a fully repaired, unclaimed palisade to rot away completely?

As decay hits are random it is impossible to tell.

If your settlement is protected by brickwall and your minehole is protected by palisade then it means that your effective protection is just palisade (because of reasons stated by Jacob_Lee).

So would it be fine if I build it inside and build a palisade around it (and later a brick wall when I get to that point)? Or would it be better to just avoid it?

Couple more: Are all foxes level four? I find it kinda pointless that I'm getting q8-9 items from a fox and q10 items from a rabbit. Do wild mouflon and auroch produce better quality items? (I have yet to bother to try killing them, I'm trying to grind FEPs to tame them just to be safe after my scarring run in with a mouflon two characters ago).

Rabbit isn't based on your stone axe/survival like other foods, because you actually butcher the object in your inventory, which doesn't require a sharp tool, and if there's no factor to change the rabbit quality it will always be Q 10, fox however is dependent on your survival/stone axe as is every animal you have to skin/butcher excluding rabbits. Although, I can't seem to get any high than Q 16 fox meat even with a Q 92 stone axe and 300 survival.

With Mouflon and Aurochs, their quality is based on what they are, but if you have a higher Q stone axe you can get higher Q wool, i'm unsure if it's soft capped by sewing or the likely, but it is likely. Aurochs Hair is solely based on the Auroch, and the hide/meat quality is again based on your survival/stone axe.

It's just based on your stats/tool you're using practically. I haven't found any foxes any higher than level 4 at least.

You can also just not worry about a wall around your mine hole until later, and keep signposts around it so people can't climb up it.

What are the average UA and STR stats?

Ninijutsu wrote:You need at least 300 UA or MC, 400 preferable, to fight people besides your average boar tusk helmet 30 UA nooblet.

You'll need around 200 MM to use a bow at a decent level

And you'll need healthy amounts of strength, agility, constitution, and perception.

Healthy STR = 400?

EDIT: New guess STR and AGI = 200 minimum

That's because, as with most other things in this game, it works only as a softcap.

The quality of the hair is based on the soil they spawn on. Wool and milk from wild animals is based on the clover you feed them. Otherwise wild aurochs and mouflon are all q10 hide, meat, and bones, again with your sharp tool and survival only softcapping the quality.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Is it supposed to take 20+ minutes to reaggro an animal after you've first used quell? I really don't know what I'm doing, but I have 20 tameness points and now I'm waiting for it to attack me again I guess? Does it sometimes take a while? :/

Yes, that is the most annoying part of taming.

look at the wiki and use the sign post trick. after you tame it walk away and deagro. come back and call thunder on a different animal in the heard and it will make the original animal your taming attack you. then do the taming again on it. istead of waiting every 20mins to tame u can fully tame it in about 15-20

By not knowing what I'm doing, I just mean I've never done this so I don't really know anything. But I've read three guides and did what they said to a T soooo :P

Do you sometimes fail at quelling? I did it twice more with that method and I'm still at 20.

EDIT: Lol, nevermind, I answered my own question.
