"Only items already in your inventory can be requested, making it difficult for those without a certain object (such as metal or a valuable crafted item) to obtain it through a stand."

MagicMan, can you say whether or not this is correct. Can I "discover" a metal bar if it is for sale in a barter stand?

Here's how this works:

1.Build the stand
2. Get your bar of metal (or other item you own you don't have the discovery points for)
3. Get another item easily obtainable (can be anything)
4. Place item you need to discover in the stand to sell it
5. Set the price to whatever else you have in your inventory
6. "Buy" the item from the stand and you can retrieve the other item you paid for it with.

note: I can't recall if you have to use an alt to set up the sale or not.

Just shift click it to the stand then shift click it off the stand no need to set price.

How do you raise wax quality? I've got two beehives surrounded by q40 crops growing as often as I can manage and I get q10-14 wax. Does beehive quality matter? I was told it doesn't but I built my beehives a very long time ago so mats were newbie quality if the hive quality does matter. If it doesn't, do I just have to harvest more often than I am? I don't think I can play that much

Beehive quality does not matter. I think it's more important to harvest crops as soon as they are complete and wax as soon as it is ready than it is to harvest a lot. So if you're leaving crops idle for a long time, then that is likely hurting your wax quality. You will need to plan for a longer growing crop to be planted when you are about to log off.

Ah, okay. I'm on a "vacation" right now without internet access so I'm only able to get on once a day at the library to tend to my crops. Would it be more harmful to continue harvesting like this or should I just leave the crops and wax until I get home tomorrow?

And I'm trying to demolish a log cabin with a battering ram. I did the first one yesterday and I'm doing the second cabin today, but I've got the battering ram right up against the house like I had it with the other cabin and I'm not getting the option of using it?

You may need to re-angle the ram. As for whether or not that's harmful is up to you. I don't think it is, you just need to switch to a crop that matures once every 24 hours.
