I have a question about Dex*Sewing softcapping stuff.

I'm not so good at mathematics

So, what caps the max quality you can make of stuff like silk cloth ( minus the materials ) is your Dexterity times your Sewing then the square root of that number?

Dex 19

Sewing 105

So that's 1995.

The square root of that is 44?

I can only make items up to Q44? I read the wiki but don't think I really understood it for some reason.

I should increase my Dexterity rather than my Sewing now, correct?...

It's a soft cap. This means it will lower the quality of the final item, but not drop it clear now (like a hard cap). Yes, raising your Dex will increase quality much more than trying to raise your sewing more.

Using your example: You have q100 leather to make a Leather Pants, you'd end up with q72.

Apparently you can build structures like a log cabin and timber house on other tiles other than paved. I think I've seen such buildings on abandoned claims not decaying. So is paving not necessary? Especially since I find paving everything ugly. I know there are some structures that decay even if on claims like drying racks, looms and herb tables.

I'm not sure anything that needs to be on paved tiles can be built on unpaved tiles anymore. I haven't tried. Anything that needs to be on paved land will decay no matter if it's on a claim or not, at least according to the old mechanics.
