I guess I'll try upping my Melee even more, my agility is at 34, and slowly going up along with all my other stats.

Sounds like you're chilling in bottleneck or some other far flung colony. Vicious animals increase in martial prowess the further away you get from civilisation. With those skills a level II or III fox shouldn't be a problem. Try returning to the RoB.

If you're not hitting level 2 foxes then make sure you've got the right tools equipped (sword and shield for melee or hands free for boxing)

o.O I can kill level 2 foxes in one hit with my axe, and I can kill any animal with my bow. I'm just trying to figure out what I need to improve my melee capabilities, so that I will be able to kill them in the future, because they will put path finding in soon.

I also live near level 1 animals, but it is hard to find level 1 boars because all the lower level forests are paved over with communities on top of them.

For instance what stat/skill allows you to dodge more attacks? Would raising unarmed combat help my dodging if I'm using a weapon?
Actually I found that answer..

Will upping my Melee combat help or is the main problem that I am lacking in stats. I was surprised that I couldn't kill level 4+ mobs with level 50 melee.

I can kill level 5 foxes with my battleaxe and 60 melee. but i could have done it at 50 too. takes two hits tho. Bears however are much harder. they pack a harder punch so they actually damage my armor..

If you use a shield, the shield skill and have 50 melee you should be able to dodge and hit a level 5 boar i think. it should have around 30 unarmed skill.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

I know dodge uses unarmed skill, and shield uses melee, but what about bloodlust, death or glory, and combat meditation?

What are the chances of getting a successful "opportunity knocks" roll? And how much does int affect it?

Does using 2 shields increase dodging chance? Are there any advantages of using a shield even if not using the shield maneuver?
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

they do stick [your current manuver is saved with your char]. however you can change them whenever you want.

Defense maneuvers sometimes change; if you put down your shield temporarily (e.g. to wield a pick) you may find yourself on dodge even when you re-equip the shield. There are also keyboard shortcuts to change maneuvers, and it's really easy to select a few of them when you meant to be chatting. _Always_ check what defense maneuver you have selected; it might not be what you intended.

Is there a way to page through maneuvers?

I've learned everything up to Swordsmanship, but can't see all of my maneuvers, and some of my maneuvers appear to have disappeard (I can't access block, even with a shield equipped and the hotkey).
