1. if you are a noob village I highly doubt anyone wants anything of yours or would want to kill you (as long as you haven't left criminal scents).

2. eventually you will need to complete the project, until then either extend a personal claim over the gap or cover entire area with a personal claim until you can complete the project. (think of a brick wall for later as well)

3. If you have been playing this long without a problem with your neighbors without a palisade up, you shouldn't have one within a few days as well, unless you commit a criminal act and scents lead someone back to your place.

4. If someone commits a criminal act against you, you can get a mercenary to help track down and kill them.

5. Most importantly, make friends.

I have a few people who live with me. Basically we've all planted our HF's in the gap and hope we can ward them away with numbers. It's not a very good plan but then again, I don't have much of a choice right now. I have a lot of valuables but there's also a cave in the settlement so I can just hide them in there. I also know a bunch of people from this area, and there's no active villages or settlements near me. All of them have been decaying forever so I don't think anyone will try to steal anything.

Anyway, thanks everyone for your ideas.

I can't help but laugh a bit.

If you can't build a corner post in a day you can trust me that you have nothing at all of value someone would want to lose their life for.

Unless you have a cabinet full of dragon helms or a chest full of gold bars, consider yourself safe.

Oh no, I can. At my old walled castle thing I have all the resources, I'm just far too lazy to go back there and get them :D

Then you're just going to have to man up and build another palisade cornerpost, there's nothing else you can build that won't leave a dangerous weak point in your defenses.

Yes. What about doing it now?

And please, please, pretty please, with cherry on top:
In a consistent manner, so that all cliffs just occupy the single tile they're on - and palisade/brickwall can be placed on the grid on both sides to seal off the area.

What else could fixing it possibly mean? The mountain ridges work as they should.

Can't fix it until map reset, though. :)
