The first thing I would recommend you do is move your Martial/Peaceful personal belief slider toward Peaceful,this will also move your Tradition/Change slider toward Change.Both Peaceful and Change give a bonus to LP so if you do this twice you'll almost double the LP gained from everything you do.The downside to Peaceful is that you'll do less damage in combat ,but when you're starting out you'll be too weak to fight anything anyway.The drawback to Change is that you will recover fewer attributes and LP when you reincarnate, but when you're starting out you don't have much to recover.I think for a new player the bonuses outweigh the drawbacks.You can find Personal Beliefs by clicking the third button from the left at the bottom of the Character Sheet.

and unless you got high q items or metal stuff, looting your own corpse isnt worth it. Just move on and start over, it sucks but that is the game

also, may i draw your attention to the "edit" button on your posts? no need to double post, or triple or even, as you did, quadrupple post

yeah I moved on, some one provided me with some basic stuff and I have managed to stake a claim
