Depends on if it's your base melee or buffed melee. If you are getting mst of it from thanes, you should start upping MM then UA and keep melee where it is. If it's your base melee, you generally need 1/2 of your total melee to UA. Melee isn't totally useless but unarmed is still more important.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

If you're gonna use a B12, why get any melee? Just use punch for knocking out defence, and chop for doing damage when it's down. Any old pair of thanes will give you enough melee to cut through depleted defence. And punch is faster and doesn't take any IP anyway, so it's a better choice for taking down defence even if your melee and UA are equal.

Alright, thanks for the help and discussion on Meele! I'll raise Marksmanship to 50 and start training UAC from there.

I wouldn't recommend the axe style though.

So what would be the best rings for a ranger bow user?

Occults if your Perception isn't like 1k+ without them, Thanes for the AGI boost otherwise.

With the new sling nerf, what would be the best route to go? Should I continue training MM for a bow, or grind UAC up to around 100?

I was able to beat boars with 15 mm, a q 13 sling, and a bear cape. When they run, I could punch them down in like 5 shots.

Shooting from a boat eh... I personally hate boars. can't fence them in without getting aggroed. :x
