by "Take a while" do you mean study-able? Also, did you have to craft it, or did it just randomly happen (I.E. you got stones before & after getting it?)?

Dandelion, founded on moar (30 exp*per) can be studied

Conifer forests I believe. It's the very common forest type with Pines and Fir trees.
