Well, in my opinion I love the system so far. But I have some "diferences" on the next points:
1) Hunting. I just hope I dont kill a bear just for the food/bone/hide. Really, and specially I hope it's not just like "A chance to get a curiosity that will be stuck on you with 40ATT for 12 hours to give you 8k LP".
2) Non-macro things. Raiding an ant hill is 0 LP. That is non macreable, why cutting that? I know, several "Curiosities" but still, WHY?! (Ant hills just as an example of the LOAD of things that are clearly nonmacreable and still are at 0 LP, like foraging)
3) Balance. I know, I'm not even crying at this one, I'm just wondering the possibilities. At the very beginning sounds fair and ok, altho the timers are way too long for my taste, it sounds as a facebook game where the limit is INT. I'm currently at 23/23 just renewing the Dandelion/Cone cow and on longer times Ant Soldier and more stuff. I know, higher end the things you do, higher end the curiosities, but still TIMERS. Also, LP gain seems lower at the start, which is not followed with lowered requirements of low skills such as Yeo.
4) Leveling AFK alts. Ok, so imagine this high-end situation. I have a village, good Q, access to almost everything BLA BLA. So, as I have more than enough curiosities for our villagers I just farm the best, save them and start having an AFK Alt that will autolevel while I do stuff with my main. Now people dont even have to macro to level alts for stuff like murder/trespass and bla bla. Just feed them INT, give them highQ curiosities and drop them AFK.
As for "What I think may solve the issues I see":
1) No opinion, still have to test and see.
2) Start puting stuff that still gives LP when you do it, but ALL NON MACROABLE STUFF
3) Well, at least to make it A LITTLE bit more smooth and more like you feel you're getting something make it so that instead of handing out the FULL LP after finishing the curiosity, make it so it gives it over time (1 minute, whatever you may like). If it's a must I'm even happy if once you take off something from the study inventory it disappears (just to avoid bugs)
4) Still dont see a way to avoid this except stopping double client (Which is not easy at all, and of course, this is an indie game, not hoping for a strong measure on double clients).
Do you want see right through the devil's eyes?
You must have seen the ground where they all stood before
I was a young man then, I was a young man then
Spending my time on the killing floor
Be more than you seem to be
Joy of labour sets you free.
