IIRC it's sqrt(cha) / sqrt(enemy cha)
sqrt(500)/sqrt(50) ~= 3.1 ; So each person would gain 3 versus the one leader losing 3. (Not a bad gamble at all, a really good one depending on size)

However even a leader with 200 versus the average of '50', would =2 . 200 is not hard to get at all and is good.
200 is pretty much exactly 200 Harmesan Cheese, or 67 Racks of cheese waiting for ~6 days.

You're better off getting around 100, if you ever think you'll be attacked by a group (whether you're in one or not).
It is of note: I rarely see effective use of this skill. I've debated for some time the merits of it's use on a palibasher or some sort of other character that shouldn't see a lot of combat directly but can attack from the back, spamming CDT and then To Arms!. Unless Stern Order was fixed, it's absolute shit other than for changing the tide of a battle you see someone going into.

If you really know what you're doing as a group, attacking people one by one using this method even against another group of people is an amazingly efficient way to go through battle. Don't take my word for it though, do a lot of sparring.

Yeah, this is my main problem... The people in my village don't really like sparring too much. Not really sure what to do about this, other than search around my area for practice partners - which seems quite dangerous!

Cheers

Can be dangerous, best bet is to find a village you are allied with or something and explain your predicament to them, see if any want to spar.

I'm well aware of how the formula works, I suppose it's just what defines effective for you. my Ideal goal was to reach getting 5 IP, and pushing full weight with those 5 coins, a long term goal =P. I did it because I was also grinding PSY and DEX, as I was our tailor, and Jewler. I was also our farmer and cook, and in the end, our survivalist. so I also took MC in hopes the added shield ratio would help with LP I originally spent elsewhere, in terms of survival. That is to say, I thought of it much like yourself, I took it up because I wouldn't otherwise be seeing much combat. (At least.. what most people would think of as combat)

Also, Stern Order gives advantage = to delta, so the same number of IP you get. I didn't like the idea of taking 5 IP with out my allies knowing, so it was decided before a fight that they would expect the bonus IP I gave them to be used eventually for a stern order, and were not to completely rely on it. This could be solved easily with some microphones ha ha ( my fault.. )

And finally, I don't think I will be taking charisma again. I really enjoyed my role, but I absolutely hate wearing merchant robes, which are basically mandatory.

I dis like how eventually we all look the same. Everyone looks so bland, uniform. So I like to mix things up and add some "character" to my character. I know there these appearance items do nothing, but I bit the bullet.

I wore the outfit in this picture for a while, viewtopic.php?f=25&t=18957

I don't think anyone out there looked like me.

I thought it was sqrt(cha/enemycha) okay then yeah cha is a lot more important.

Edit: Does Call down the Thunder have anything to make it more or less than 1 IP?

Remember your math here: sqrt (x/y)=sqrt(x)/sqrt(y) ;)

No. CdoT is exactly 1. I can't think of anything that gets you more than that other than Death or Glory, Feign Flight (+2, less than 10% def), or To Arms (group IP)!

Wow Thanks I kind of spaced that bit of equivalence.
