MM is useless if u have more perc then ur opponent has agi =), or a higher q rbow then they have armor

????

The formula for ranged damage is based upon the quality of the weapon (and ammo for bows). The min damage is based on the perc:agi ratio, in which case you need 2x perc as the opponents agi for it to not matter. The only factor MM has in any of the archery equations is in how fast you aim.

Depending on the type of armor, you need a significantly better Ranger's Bow to penetrate armor. It also depends on how much armor the target is wearing. Just a breastplate with a couple other minor pieces? Doesn't need much. Wearing a full set of steel plate (bp, guantlets, helm, etc), I don't think it matters how good your rbow is, you're not going to penetrate armor. You will keep doing armor damage, though, and that's the point of having archers in a battle group.

Archers are also very useful on defense. They can keep plugging away at anyone manning rams.[/quote]

It was a typo....i should really stop posting on the forums at 5 in the morning =s. But yes, it is mainly for taking out noobs in the fight who arent wearing proper gear. If you do have signifacantly higher quality and stats then u can kill some people too though.

I would try and get your survival to around 30-50 as a minimum. I think it will pay off in the long run, as your foraged curios like flotsams will be better q occasionally.

Ok.
I'll get:
1- 50 exploration
2- 30 survival
3- 100 unarmed attack
4- At this point I will start bumping melee combat.

But still... What about Personal Beliefs? I maxed peaceful/change. What to put now?

If you're a part of a village, don't worry about the survival at all. Just bring dead animals back for others to butcher. Max peaceful, life, and then barbarism as long as you're comfortable with your INT and CHA scores. (Charisma is not really important, though, unless something your doing requires it, like party leader.)

Sur is needed for foraging. And yeah, max life and civ for now, and then slowly switch to barb in a way that maintains 100 int throughout the process.

Why do I seem to always forget this? Thanks for the reminder! :P

Hello guys.
I got 50 exploration today. Now you guys told me to bump survival to 30 before start bumping unarmed combat... Is this right? Because i saw somewhere that you have to put only 20 in survival...
What should i do? 20 or 30 before starting UA?

Survival will softcap what you forage. 20 is fine (If you harvest something that is q30 and you have 20 Survival you will get a 25 item), however since most soil in the world is 30, 30 is recommended.
