False.

Also for the OP. Man just fight back. Kill one when getting ganked and see how they'll be more unlikely to attack you next time.

Also, another good technique is to move to them, like if you were chasing them.
Sometimes it works, and people just run away because of your bluff.
Sometimes it doesn't. Then run :D

You can test for yourself by sparring an alt. Attack it while it is moving, then attack it while it is not moving.

Also, is we are going by the terminology of gank, then you are outnumbered and, unless you are an expert at mobile tactics, it is best to run away especially in a world where being outnumber is a big disadvantage than before.

If the alt is moving while doing a move on another target then he'll have is full armour.
You can try it yourself chasing a fox which is chasing a rabbit.

In other words, pro tip to escape a gank is to attack something else on the other side.
For exemple :

A rabbit ----- you ----- gankers.

Attack the rabbit with punch (so you'll run to it). If gankers hit you your defensive bar won't be 0. It'll act "normal".
This also works with friendly units in place of the rabbit derp.

So you can move while being hit without taking full damage.
But not kill a bear with 80 uac derp.

And for the outnumbered shit, HnH made it so the maneuvers advantage the guy alone.
Be attacked by 3 ants + 1 fox, and you'll be stronger than if you got attacked by only 1 fox.

Yes, if you have a move queued while moving and you get attack, you will still have your defensive weight but if you do not have one queued and you are moving, your weight is 0.

Also in terms of being outnumbered, only attack, defense, and meditation operates at a global combat level. IP, advantage, intensity operates separately from each enemy and they will all be aiming for your defense which will go down quickly. Also the maneuver is capped at 2x the base bonus listed. Meaning if you are using Death or Glory, you will not gain more than 2 IP on the enemy.

Using a rabbit as means of defensive movement may not be too sound of a plan since you will stop if you use drink from a waterflask and rabbits gain the ability to go through objects when fleeing.

False.

You'd think from that being the way valten killed you in W5 at pande idol, you would have bothered to learn/know the obvious combat tricks he showed you right in front of your face.

Patchouli_Knowledge wrote:Sparring may only help with developing fighting technique but it will not help you overcome the anxiety and adrenalin that comes before and within combat. All of the training in the world will do you no good if you end up making too many mistakes due to fear.

This is the only advice I'd follow in this thread. Most of the rest is generally obvious/false stuff.

It actually applies to a lot of things in what we do in real life as well.

Bruthol is probably not the best person to be giving advice to anyone when it comes to combat, or moving for that matter.

Sometimes your lucky and come up with a good twist to health and other times away from the dead URE. But to be completely safe, unless you are more healthy, its allies or UR own village is best not to stop and chat.
