That is not true, but I forgot what the formula was again myself...it involves sewing and either dex or psy I am sure. Someone bugged me like a dozen times to not forget to use our taylor/jeweler alt for the B12s in w5 that is what I remember for sure. Might have been Vig himself or Sarchi? I don't remember.

well, it was ramones who told me, sometime in w5, and implied that you guys had made the mistake of not doing that once and the b12's were ruined somewhat. I'm never going to be able to test this though , 24 steel for a test at *minimum*!

i guess its actually pretty moot, since its so easy to raise str and smithing high enough on a tailor/jeweler.

btw from what Sevenless is saying it also seems like the leather is weighted rather heavily considering it is 2 pieces compared to 12 of the steel?

I think the major fun of B12 would be that it has 5% AP.

seems to heavily rely on leather in the formula so focus on that a bit since high ql leather is easy to get
