I have no problem with having a approximation formula on the wiki. But its place is on the talk page at best.

If it's the absolute best the community can come up with without a dev response, then there's no reason it can't be on the main page with a clear notation that there's some one-off error in the manual calculation from something the code is doing behind the scenes. With jorb and loftar neck deep in Salem right now, I seriously doubt we're going to solicit a response from either of them on it as it's not a game-crashing or breaking bug.

@Xcom: thanks for that statement. Been a while since I've really toyed with any of it (gave up and just decided to keep best Q water and cauldron on hand).

I'm sure someone can figure it out and you've got a decent data set to work with. You're right in that it's just some vagrancy in the code causing issues, otherwise you wouldn't be getting one-off errors.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Your figures are not consistent with even the example you give, to unlock their own edits until you can prove that this formula is different difference in quality in all aspects.
You’ll never know that a bottle of water can also become a change point of Women leather shoes, those things are so difficult to clean Women pumps shoes, just keep cleaning!

maybe formula is good but result is randomized (-1,+1)
that would be uncommon but it would explain a lot
