From what I understand of prospecting, once you fail metal detection on a spot you cannot see any metal there until you've let the map unload. There's always a chance a detection will turn up nothing.

If you've gone back to that spot at a later date and retested I've no clue though. The fabled ghost node I suppose.

Maybe it's pointing to different points in the node?
The node is larger than 1 tile definitely.

Metals dont spawn in *nodes* they spawn in vains...
