They will quite often, after running, go peaceful, and when they reach where they should deaggro, run back, and you can just stand and punch them down. Boars, deer, and bears will do this. I'm not sure about foxes. 30 UA and about 40 STR and you can kill them in melee combat a lot faster than trying to chase and all that.

This is not true at all. Are you acquainted with World 7 and the fixes it has brought with it?

What isn't true exactly? I think all of what magicman said is correct.

with 30UA you can cdtt, opp knocks, knock his teeth out, then chase and a few punches should bring him down.

While it is no longer an instant damage if you attack the fox while it is moving, it will have highly reduced defense weight so you may need to flex once or twice (advantage is not too relevant if animals are fleeing with virtually no defense) before attacking again.

And again... False. Movement hits count to animals.

I was referring to the fact that animals will no longer have 0 weight when moving so you still need attack bar before attacking.

I was referring to the fact that animals still have 0 weight and I just, JUST UA'd 2 boars with like 2 atk bar while they were running, and it had ~10 def.

Yes, it was made clear in the patch notes when w7 was spawned that there was a nerf to movement combat which would also affect combat vs animals. It's explained a bit further in the thread about what exactly was done to nerf movement combat.

My point above was that you could just wait on the animals and they nearly always ran back to you and were just passive while you slaughtered them. The statement was that I was incorrect, but with the following arguments, I'm not sure if it actually got fixed or not. I'm confused. :?
