There are always players who get their fun by destroying the fun for others - in every online game...

I suggest to just move to another area ...

I found the killer far far south of my base. Like 20 - 40 cells south. So the murdered doesn't live near me. Unless that is considered close.

It's not like there's a line drawn between "complete psychopath that kills everything in sight and bathes in their blood" and "didn't make a bonesaw because it would mean a dead rabbit." If you limit yourself to one of those, you shouldn't play this game.

this game has a crossroad system where you can potentially teleport anywhere in the world with enough agility. so anyone is potentially close to you.

seriously, if you've played sandbox games before, u'll know that 1 day is certainly not enough time to get to know a game

Instead of making a new topic, I'll just post some questions I have.

Can I terraform a mountain to be farmable?

Are there a limit to claims?

Actually that's all I can think of

No. For some silly reason, you can't pave a mountain and then plant seeds over it to make grass which would then be plowable.

No, but there is a 5:1 ratio on claim expansion you can't go outside of.

That is definitely considered close if by "cells" you mean map sections (which should be the coordinate measurments on the world map). Anything within an hour or so should be considered close for the purposes of threat assessment. This would only be about 15-30 minutes travel time depending on how the rivers connect up.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

While this game is fun, the idea of some child/douchebag just murdering and griefing me because it's funny is rather offputting. So overall, is it worth it? I'm a bit of a loner so...

not unless you can accept this reality

A few more questions.

Is there some way to quick deposit items? Because single clicking is driving me nuts.

What's a good unarmed level I should be at before I get into fist fights with bears and boars?

You can theoretically take on a bear with just a few points <10 ua.
I suggest browsing the forums, most of this is explained in stickied guides..
