Just for future reference, generally when you're tossing around profanity, and insulting people, it turns other people off to helping. When you're asking for help, you need to be a bit more welcoming.

The thing is the raw meat gives a LOT of black FEPs. Early on with a new char who's not gained many stats you only need 8 or so FEP to gain a stat. Eating raw meat gives 5. This means even eating one piece is enough to make the most likely outcome be an HP loss, and because such an outcome doesn't give you a stat, you still need just as few FEPs for the next stat, and thus the situation repeats itself. Later on when you need 40 FEPs to gain a stat, 5 isn't too bad. This is likely why you never noticed it on your older character.
