yeah... a reply like that makes it clear you dont understand how a ranger works.

ofcourse in a arena the ranger is going to get his ass kicked, being able to choose when and where a battle will happen and long distance are the weapons of a ranger, your suggestion couldnt be further away from that.

And what, you think you'll have time for a 2nd shot in a real situation? Or that I'd take off my armour at any time, for some odd reason?

Two things. First, Archers are also quite useless because you just keep on moving when you see them (and believe me you cannot hide from good PvPers, with client mods they see everything). Second, why not remove the agi boost from thanes. They would still be the most powerful item in the game, but this would at least be a small step towards making archery better.

no but i do think that most people will have low enough armor for a good ranger to get a a shot in for a few 100 damage, and the 2nd shot comes from the 2nd ranger thats shooting with you, only a fool would shoot solo.

Like I said, both of them will still do just 0 damage to the actual hp, and armour will still be there. And if you're hunting leather-wearing newbs, might as well use a sling and save yourself some time.

Every serious PvPer does. If it's someone with low q stuff, you'll beat him up even worse in melee with a superior sword (or, god forbid, battleaxe).

well shit its badly unbalanced at the top then, ive been having little trouble and only rarely come across a target i cant damage. but yeah everyone at the top prob has higher armor then a ranger can damage, there needs to be a armor bypassing "unarmed" skill for rangers then. still id stick by my marksman anytime, just be more carefull to avoid the high end and keep killing everyone else

There's people out there who hit for 1500+ damage with a sword. Dunno what they'd do with a battleaxe.

Keep in mind that battleaxe need both UA and melee so their overall skill will be less. That being said. The thanes's melee need to be reduced to give some UA instead.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
