Are gold and silver nodes particularly rare? even on say level 5?

How large are the nodes of silver and gold compared to the common ores such as tin, copper and iron?

Are they relatively small nodes?

They are rare everywhere but most common on level 5 (prospect on level 4)

I am not 100% positive on this, but I do believe that the more empty slots you have, the more likely it is a leech will get on you. So, going naked and taking the leeches off you as fast as possible could be a good technique. (This is completely based on my own observations and might be completely wrong).
